The Hamilton rental market, as we read it

Hamilton is being reshaped in real time by LRT construction along the B-Line corridor. Owners near the route are weighing years of disruption against the value it should add once it runs, and that calculation changes street by street rather than neighbourhood by neighbourhood.

Student demand from McMaster and Mohawk sets the rhythm in Westdale and through the lower city, on a leasing calendar that has little to do with the rest of the market.

Much of the lower-city housing stock is old enough that maintenance has to be planned rather than reacted to. Managing here well means knowing which of those three forces applies to your specific property, and we are not prepared to guess at that from Kingston.
