Moving out? Check your notice dates

In Ontario, most tenants owe 60 days of written notice on Form N9, and the move-out date has to be the last day of a rental period. This tool does the counting for you, in either direction. For the full rules, including how to leave a fixed-term lease early, read our guide to giving notice in Ontario.

Your result

Pick a direction above: find your earliest move-out date from the day you plan to give notice, or start from the day you want to leave and get your notice deadline.

Assumes your rental period ends on the last day of the month, which is the case for almost everyone who pays rent on the 1st. Reflects sections 44 and 47 of the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006, including the shorter February and March notice windows. General information, not legal advice. KEILTY residents: send your notice through the resident portal and we will confirm your termination date in writing.

Required under your lease

Tenant insurance, sorted in about two minutes

Most KEILTY leases require proof of tenant insurance before keys are released. We partnered with APOLLO so you can get covered online, without a phone call.

What it covers

Your things, and your liability

Your landlord's policy covers the building, not your belongings and not damage you are responsible for. Tenant insurance covers both.

How to get it

Online, in about two minutes

Quote and buy through APOLLO on your phone or laptop. No paperwork, no appointment, and coverage starts the day you choose.

Proof of coverage

Sent to us automatically

Buy through APOLLO and your certificate is shared with KEILTY for you. Keep the policy active for the full length of your tenancy.

APOLLO is KEILTY's insurance partner. The button opens apollocover.com in a new tab. You are free to insure through any provider you like, as long as your policy meets the requirements in your lease.
