What should you ask any flexible office provider?

These questions separate a good agreement from an expensive one. Ask them of every provider, including us, and get the answers in writing.

1. What is the all-in monthly cost, plus HST? Ask what is included and what is extra: parking, meeting room time, printing, coffee, after-hours heating and cooling.
2. What is the minimum term? Terms vary between providers. Ours is three months, then month to month.
3. How much notice is needed to leave? Ask for the number of days and whether notice runs from the end of a month. At KEILTY Workspace, either side can end the agreement on 30 days' notice after the first three months.
4. How does the fee change? Ask whether increases are fixed or tied to an index. Our fee increases by a fixed 3% on each anniversary.
5. How much is the deposit, and what happens to it? Ours is one month's fee plus HST, applied to your final month's fees.
